I'm a pitcher from the Czech Republic who has lived through the highs and lows of competitive baseball - from throwing harder than most pitchers my age to losing confidence entirely, from earning a scholarship to having it disappear overnight, and from being in the recruiting process three times to building a company designed to make that journey clearer for the athletes who come after me.
Throughout my baseball journey, I've experienced both success and adversity. While I continue working toward returning to full health and competing overseas again, I decided to launch NXTLVL.eu because coaching has always been one of my greatest passions. I've been there - I know what it feels like to have a dream derailed, and I know what it takes to rebuild it with purpose and a clear plan.
The Problem: A Thrower, Not a Pitcher
My story began when I was 16 years old. I was throwing harder than most players my age, but I struggled to consistently throw strikes. I had raw velocity, but I lacked command, confidence, and most importantly - a structured system.
The Social Media Trap
Like many young athletes, I turned to social media for answers. I believed that consuming endless pitching content and trying every mechanical adjustment I saw online would accelerate my development. Instead, it did the opposite. Without a clear system connecting everything together, I became overwhelmed, lost confidence, and eventually got domed up.
What Was Missing
The problem wasn't effort or talent. The problem was not having a structured development plan. I was making random mechanical changes without understanding how they connected to velocity, command, or health. I needed a system -not more content, not more tips, but a clear, individualized path forward that told me exactly what to work on and why.
The Turning Point: Driveline Baseball
I knew I needed a different approach. That led me to Driveline Baseball in Washington, where I trained for three months. For the first time in my career, I had a structured development plan and a clear understanding of what it actually takes to become better. The experience completely changed my career trajectory.

My development accelerated rapidly. College coaches began reaching out consistently, and I earned a scholarship opportunity at Dodge City Community College. For the first time, I could see a clear path from where I was to where I wanted to be - and it felt real.
When Plans Fall Apart
Just three months before I was scheduled to leave for the United States, I received a phone call that changed everything. Due to visa complications, the coaching staff wasn't sure that I would receive my visa in time to join the program. Overnight, my plans disappeared, and I found myself back in the recruiting process - with most rosters already finalized and scholarship money limited.

Anyone familiar with college recruiting knows how difficult that situation can be. At that point in the year, most rosters are already finalized, and scholarship money is limited. Yet through continued development and a strong understanding of the recruiting process, I was able to secure an even better opportunity at Arizona Western College - one of the top junior college baseball programs in the country. The lesson: when you understand the process, setbacks become detours, not dead ends.

The Pressure to Perform
When I arrived at Arizona Western College, expectations were high. I had been heavily recruited and felt pressure to immediately prove myself. Instead of trusting the process, I fell back into old habits and began chasing perfect mechanics again - the same mistake that set me back at 16. I started the fall season strong, struggled through the middle portion, and finally found my rhythm toward the end.
The Redshirt Decision
Despite finishing well, I was informed that I would likely be redshirted for the upcoming season. Once again, I faced a difficult decision. I entered the transfer portal for the third time. Initially, I was concerned about finding the right opportunity - especially so late in the year. But because I understood both player development and recruiting, I knew how to position myself effectively. That knowledge made all the difference.

I created a recruiting post on X at the right time and with the right strategy. The response was incredible - and it proved that understanding the recruiting process is just as important as on-field performance.
